STANDARD, LONG, EXTRA LONG. WHICH SIZE IS RIGHT FOR ME?
All pictures on our website show moms and dads wearing a various length True North Slings (each picture identifies the length). If you are able to find a picture of a mom or dad who is similar to your body type you will see where the tail of the ring sling will stop on you. Length of the ring sling is really not associated with your height, but more with how broad you are through your chest and shoulders. Feel free to join our chatter page on Facebook to get additional feedback from our wonderful customers regarding what size is most suitable. You can also reach out to us directly.
Additionally, if you love the ring sling, but we are out of stock with your ideal length, you can purchase a longer version and add a note to your order that it should be cut down to a certain size. We will send the remnants to you, or donate them to one of the shops we collaborate with (Parker and Posie and Fawn & Lace)

ARE YOUR RING SLINGS SAFE?
Yes they are! Our slings are made from top quality linen, weight and flammability tested in compliance with Canadian and American safety regulations. Our Aluminum rings are all weight tested to 220 pounds and as with all ring slings, they are approved for use with infants and toddlers from 8-35lb. Proper use of your ring sling is important to ensure your baby's safety. Please take time to watch our videos and read the instruction booklet and safety warnings that come with your sling. Most cities have local babywearing groups - a wonderful resource when it comes to learning how to wear your baby safely.
We are members of the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance (BCIA) and safety committee members at ASTM helping to improve safety standards for baby carriers. Our ring slings are tested by a third party lab and are compliant with the Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) weight testing requirements as well as the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). We take safety seriously and ensure that even optional safety standards are adhered to.
WHERE ARE YOUR RING SLINGS MADE?
True North Slings are made in Lethbridge Alberta by local mamas and papas. Majority of our materials are from Canadian and US businesses.
Linen is one of the oldest and strongest fabrics in the world. Because of its strength and loose weave it is cool, breathable and light weight. Linen has no stretch and doesn't stretch out over time. It drapes beautifully for an elegant look that you'll easily be able to dress up or down.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY RING SLING?
Linen is very easy to care for! Machine wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. While it’s not necessary to iron your sling, if you prefer, iron with steam at medium-to-hot. Store your sling in a cool dry place; avoid plastic bags, cardboard boxes and cedar chests.
HOW CAN I HAVE MY TRUE NORTH SWEET BABY FEATURED ON TRUE NORTH SLINGS WEBSITE / SOCIAL MEDIA?
